Kerrie-Anne nearly breaks her Gold Logie

She is one of Australia's favourite entertainers... just don't leave her alone with a Gold Logie!

During a recent appearance on Nova's Kate, Tim and Marty show, Kerrie-Anne Kennerley nearly cracked her enviable award in half while attempting to make a dramatic entrance into the radio studio.

The TV presenter was takng part in the show's Quick Draw segement but her pariticpation was a secret and been teased to listeners by the hosts.

When KAK was finally announced as the guest, the blonde haired entertainer swung open the door to the studio with one hand whie holding her Hall of Fame Gold Logie - which she was awarded this year - in the other.

Then, suddenly, the door swung shut crashing into the statute.

Host Kate Ritchie put her hands to her face in total shock, which the other two hosts burst into laughter.

"Oh God! The door just hit your Logie," host Tim Blackwell said.

Thankfully the gold statue remained unscathed in the terrifying incident, which KAK also laughed off.

It's good to see the 63-year-old is still smiling after living through one of the worst years of her life.

In March last year her beloved husband John, 74, became a paraplegic after slipping off a balcony at a golf resort.

The pair, who were once constants on the the Sydney social scene, have been struggling to adjust to their new life with Kerrie-Anne tellling Channel Seven's Sunday Night program that she "hates this new life to be quite frank. I hate it. It's just awful."
