MAFS' Gabrielle hailed a 'hero' by viewers

Fans of Married At First Sight have rallied around Gabrielle, calling her a 'hero' and 'queen' for standing up to 'husband' Nasser during last night's episode.

The plus-size model voted to stay on Sunday night's show, completely aware her TV hubby wanted to leave.

She wasn't going to let Nasser get away with leaving her all alone during their home stay last week.

The 50-year-old opted to leave saying he was 'sorry' but just felt the romantic 'chemistry is not there'.

However, in a shock move a 'stubborn' Gabi opted to stay telling her husband, "Bad luck, Donald Duck." Boom.

"The reason I'm choosing to stay is I am very proud of how I came into this," the 44-year-old said. "Extremely committed and I vowed to myself that while there was a crack of light, I will stay until there is darkness."

"I am not leaving this experiment until I'm ready," she added.

Viewers hailed Gabi as a hero on social media.

One fan was particularly proud she stood up for herself.

However, others questioned why Gabi would want to stay with Nasser for another week.

We'll have to wait and see how this turbulent relationship plays out.

MAFS continues tonight at 7.30pm.
