Everything you need to know about the royal wedding day
We’re just 12 days away from the biggest wedding of the year, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about to walk down the aisle and say ‘I do’ in front of the whole world on May 19th.
And over the weekend, Kensington Palace released further information about the day, which has just increased the royal wedding fever here in our office tenfold.
So, here’s everything you need to know about the day, from when we’ll catch our first glimpse of the bride to who Prince Harry will arrive at Windsor Castle with.
According to Kensington Palace, the very first thing we’re set to see of the day is Meghan and Harry’s 1,200 guests arrive from 6:30pm (9:30am UK time) on May 19th.
The guests, who include members of the community and charity workers, will be dropped off at the Round Tower and will then walk to the South Door of St George’s Chapel.

Their arrival on foot should take about an hour and a half, after which, members of the royal family will begin to trickle in, at about 8:30pm.
When all members of the family, excluding the Queen, are firmly in their seats, Prince Harry and Prince William will then make their entrance.
Kensington Palace believes the brothers will arrive on foot so they can stop to greet some of the 1,200 guests who have been invited to watch the proceedings from inside the castle walls.
Meanwhile, the bride-to-be will set off from her as yet unconfirmed accommodation in a carriage with her mother, Doria Ragland by her side.
They’ll pass by the Long Walk road, giving us the first look at Meghan in her wedding dress, which is thought to have been created by Australian designers, Ralph & Russo.
At Windsor Castle, Meghan’s mum will get out of the car and continue on to the church, while the bride will be joined by her bridesmaids and page boys.
Just before Meghan arrives at the West Steps of the chapel, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will be spotted making their way into the church.
At the door, Meghan’s beloved father, Thomas Markle, will be waiting to see his daughter and walk her up the aisle to her new husband.
Kensington Palace estimate that the church service will last about an hour and they will release details about it as the wedding gets closer.
After they put the rings on, say ‘I do’ and bow to the Queen, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will leave the church and greet the 200 guests from Prince Harry’s charities who have been asked to congregate in the Cloister.
The royal family and the rest of the guests will then spill out of the church on to the grass to wave off the newlyweds as they take a carriage ride through the streets of Windosor.
This is expected to take about 25 minutes, with the couple said to be really looking forward to this part of the day.
“It will be their chance to express their gratitude for the goodwill and warm wishes they have received from all quarters in the months since their engagement,” Kensington Palace said.
The last thing we can expect to officially see is the lovebirds leaving Windsor Castle to make their way to their reception at Frogmore House.
We’re still holding out for a glimpse of Meghan Markle’s dress change though, just like Kate Middleton did in 2011.
Official portraits of the couple, as well as ones including their family members, will be taken by Alexi Lubomirski and will be released later in the week.
