Expert reveals truth about Trump 'insulting' the Queen

Donald Trump’s high-profile meeting with the Queen was criticised after many accused the President of failing to adhere to protocol.

Between not bowing when meeting Her Majesty and then walking in front of the 92-year-old during the reviewing of the troops, Trump’s mis-steps drew criticism the world over.

But according to royal etiquette expert Liz Brewer, the President’s behaviour was probably down to nervousness.

“He broke protocol, not deliberately. I think he was nervous, you could see he was nervous,” Liz Yahoo UK during episode four of ‘The Royal Box.’

“For the first time ever, this man was put in a position where he had to behave.”

Liz holds the President’s first wife Ivana Trump as a client and has met Mr Trump and the Queen on numerous occasions.

Liz says she told Ivana that her ex-husband should “be aware” of his behaviour.

“You don’t touch the Queen. If she gives her hand to reach you do a gentle handshake, you don’t do the ‘Donald Trump shake’.

“You also don’t touch her from the side or the back, you also don’t walk in front of her, ever.”
