Uber Will Now Deliver Fashion Straight To Your Door

Why didn't we think of this first?

Uber had launched a new UberRush service which will let you make same-day delivery requests for selected clothes retailers, if you're living in the U.S.

Nordstrom, Rent the Runway, 1800Flowers, Cole Haan and Google Express are already onboard for the fashion at your fingertips service, with many more retailers to come.

And best of all, you don't even have to be an Uber user to make the bookings.

"You don't have to be an Uber user. You don't have to have an Uber app. Any business can use it," Calvin Lee, a product manager with the UberRush team, told Mashable in an interview.

"The point of the offering is that we can reach a lot of different customers."

Same-day-delivery is highly sought after in the fashion industry with brands such as Barneys, Net-a-Porter and Asos already offering the service for a small fee.

Last February, Uber launched #uberKITTENS, where the car-sharing app will deliver kittens to your home for $40, for a 15 minute play.

The campaign was for one day only in six cities across Australia - Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Geelong - and followed the success of UberKITTENS and Puppies on Demand in the US.

While the fashion delivery service is only available in the U.S. it's only a matter of time before we're able to order an Uber fashion delivery service here in Australia.
