Margot Robbie just stole the show at the Suicide Squad premiere in a unicorn dress

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate that Margot Robbie wore a unicorn dress to her latest movie premiere and totally killed it?

The 26-year-old Australian beauty managed to pull off the Alexander McQueen dress from the brand's A/W 2016 collection like the true movie star she is as she attended the Suicide Squad premiere in New York on Monday.

Robbie dazzled as she posed for photographers in the full-length dress, which is sheer on the sleeves and neck and features a massive gold unicorn down the front.

The back of the stunning dress was just as impressive, with the golden appliqué design cascading down the train.

Cara Delevingne, Jared Leto and Will Smith also had the photographers in a spin as they all arrived looking hot-to-trot on the red carpet.

Just last week Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in the soon-to-be-released Suicide Squad spoke with The Project's Carrie Bickmore about starring in the film alongside fellow Aussie Jai Courtney.

"He would always call me a bogan any time I'd say something, and I'm like, 'mate, you're a bogan!' And every time we'd say something, everyone was like, 'what's a bogan?' and we're like explaining...it was like, 'she's from the Gold Coast', and I'm like, 'you're from the Western suburbs!" she explained.

But Margot won the ultimate battle against Jai when Queensland won the State of Origin series. The two actors had a bet - if New South Wales won the series, then Margot had to get a 'NSW' tattoo and if Queensland won then Jai had to get a 'Queensland' tattoo.

"Queensland won - he's got a Queensland tattoo on his arm," she told Carrie.

Robbie also said she didn't want Harley Quinn's costume to look too risqué and ultimately they decided to take inspiration from a picture of Debbie Harry who' looked bad-ass but was owning it.
