Jesinta Campbell shows off her toned abs on the David Jones runway

Jesinta Campbell has hit the runway for David Jones Spring/Summer 2016 fashion show looking incredible in an array of swim and gym gear, which perfectly showed off her rock-hard abs

The 24-year-old former Miss Universe Australia showed off her healthy and ridiculously toned figure as she commanded the catwalk with her fellow David Jones ambassadors Jessica Gomes, Jason Dundas, Montana Cox and international supermodel Gemma Ward ahead on the show.

Speaking to Be, Campbell said she managed to get in a boxing class this morning to make sure she feels her best before she struts her stuff in front of a room full of famous faces at Fox Studios tonight.

The former beauty queen works out with her personal trainer, practices Pilates, boxing and strength training, along with infrared saunas and massages.

"I’ve upped my workouts in the past few weeks but also you can’t go too crazy so I haven’t been depriving myself," Campbell said.

"I’ve just upped my exercise a little bit and I try to healthy all year round.

"This week you don’t do anything because you’re working 6am to like 8pm so it’s a really big week for us.

"All the prep happens beforehand. But I snuck in a sneaky little boxing session this morning but other than that I haven’t really done anything."

As for her diet? Jesinta's secret is cutting out refined sugars and alcohol and mainting a healthy diet all year round.

"I just eat really clean, wholesome, organic food wherever I can and I just try to be really consistent and cut out refined sugars and alcohol. I think balance is key," she said.

Back in May Campbell told Be that she was prepping for the show - which is of course all about the bikini body - with 5am starts, claiming she loves a massive breakfast of eggs and avocado along with a green smoothie and a slice of toast and had completely cut out chocolate.

Campbell's fiancé, Sydney Swans player Buddy Franklin will be in the crowd on his own cheering his lady love on tonight and Campbell said she "hopes" he's proud of her.

When it comes to her personal life, Campbell, who recently had to deny rumours claiming she was pregnant, says she was astonished she was asked such an intrusive question about her body.

"I just don’t think people should ask a woman about pregnancy, it’s such a sensitive topic and you never know what a woman is going through," Campbell said.

"Some woman can have a really really hard time and it’s a really emotional thing to talk about so I just don’t comment on any of that, I don’t feed it.

"It’s something that the media aren’t sensitive on and I just think it’s something the media needs to back off on."

Jesinta will walk the catwalk tonight with supermodel Gemma Ward, who is 14-weeks pregnant and said she's proud that David Jones have embraced that.

"Beauty looks different on all different women and having a pregnant woman on he runway is I think a really beautiful thing," she said.

While she may be coy about her private life, there are some things that Campbell is passionate about speaking up on and she's regularly opinionated on matters close to her heart.

Just a few months ago she discussed the double standards between men and women after she was told to cover up for a live appearance on TV.

"I’ve been given a platform and if I feel like I need to speak about something that’s close to my heart or something that needs a bit of attention then of course I’ll do that.," she said.

Campbell will walk the runway tonight in a array of dazzling outfits by Bec & Bridge, Zimmerman and Milea for her second foray down the David Jones runway.

"I’m always excited about the show. It’s such an amazing thing to be involved in and I can’t wait to get back out there and do the show while everyone’s there," she said.

"I don’t really get nervous I just really enjoy myself out there and have fun and I love all my outfits."
