They’re not shy about stripping down for their hit show Girls, and now Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke have joined forces with body positive brand Lonely Lingerie to celebrate their shape.

Proudly showing off their bodies in the unretouched images, Lonely Lingerie was started in 2009 and bucks the normal trend of targeting men with lingerie advertising.

“Fostering a sense of positive body image and freedom of expression, Lonely eschews conventional marketing, bringing its collections to life via the Lonely Girls Project, a journal featuring women around the world from all walks of life captured wearing Lonely in their way,” writes the company on its website.

For Lena, who is regularly seen going completely naked on Girls, and mum-of-two Jemima, it’s just another way to help spread the body positive message they promote on their show.

“One thing I hate that they say about Lena is, 'She's so confident,'" Jemima told Refinery29. "That makes me really mad and it's really short-sighted, because I don’t think she’s confident. I think she’s brave.”

“It's not that she's proud necessarily or showing off. It's that she's making an effort to fight the standard so that one day we'll stop calling nudity and self-love 'brave'. And, if people get mad because they see it as a big f**k-you, well then, they're f**king right. It is."
