Why Amanda Seyfried won't wear white on her wedding day

Amanda Seyfried may be getting married but you won't see her walking down the aisle in a white dress anytime soon.

The 30-year-old actress, who got engaged to actor Thomas Sadoski this week after just six months of dating, has previously stated that if she were to tie the knot, her gown will be anything but traditional.

Seyfried, who met her fiancé while they were filming The Last Word together, said that she's gone through so many on-screen weddings that her real life one would be very different indeed.

Speaking to E! News, she explained: "I got married so many times in my life – onscreen! I don't want a white dress! I've worn so many of them.

"The fact is, that kind of stuff is less about the ceremony and more about the commitment. So it's like children. That's where it's at, right? For me. But it's different for everybody."

Our favourite Mean Girl has played the blushing bride in Mamma Mia, The Big Wedding and Les Miserable, so her comments don't come as a big surprise.

Yesterday, fans got a glimpse of the actress' tiny but tasteful gold band.

Amanda stepped out to run errands with her gorgeous dog Finn in New York and flashed her demure bling.

So get your bets in now for what colour her dress will be.

We're guessing she'll buck the trend and go all Jessica Biel on us with a pale pink glorious gown.
