Bella Hadid criticised as too 'abnormally thin' to be new Nike face
She’s just landed a campaign with one of the world’s biggest brands, but Bella Hadid has been targeted on social media for being too skinny after announcing she’s one of Nike’s new faces.

The model, who is also making her Victoria’s Secret show debut next month, posted an Instagram snap announcing the news.
“I am OFFICIALLY PART OF THE @NIKE FAMILY! More coming very soon,” she wrote.
But it wasn’t long before people were commenting on the 20-year-old’s post, claiming her shape wasn’t in line with the athletic ethos of the brand.
“This is why young girls get eating disorders, when being abnormally thin is glorified. Well done @nike,” wrote one user.
“I love how so many athletic companies are signing models now and not athletes because they know people look up to models more then they lookup to people with real talent,” added another.
“Nike? She's not an athlete but more importantly it's giving young girls unrealistic expectations yet again,” reads another comment. “Why not use @theashleygraham come on now @NIKE have some sense.”
Bella admits she’s been working hard with Victoria's Secret trainer Rob Piela in the leadup to the show in December.
"I’ve been eating hard protein every day, and working out for three hours every day,” she told People. “It’s crazy but I think that if you set your mind to something, I think you can succeed.”
It’s seen the model shed kilos from her already small frame.
“I really didn't mean to [lose weight],” she admits. “Like I want boobs. I want my ass back. But it's not my fault. My weight fluctuates and so does everybody's and I think that if people are gonna judge, that's the worst you can possibly do because everybody is different."
