Could We Be About To See A Plus-Size Victoria's Secret Angel?

Could We Be About To See A Plus-Size Victoria's Secret Angel?

We love the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, it's our Superbowl, the pink, the glitter, Taylor Swift, it's a bit of fun!

But let's face it, up until now there's been one major thing missing - diversity.

When new VS recruits Elsa Hosk and Jac Jagaciak were asked about the possibility of a curvy Angel joining the ranks, their answer gave us a glimmer of hope, sort of.

"I think the whole world is more open to plus-size models and I am sure at some point they will be ready for it," Jagaciak told the Daily Mail.

"We don't know," Hosk added, "I really hope so."

The lingerie label has received criticism in the past for it's use of super-skinny models, most recently causing uproar with it's 'Perfect Body' campaign.

The company however have just announced their latest appointments to the VS family, with the ladies hailing from Russia, Holland, Portugal, Brazil, Poland, Sweden, Australia, and the US in the hopes of improving their diversity.

"Right now there are a lot of Angels represented," Hosk said.

"We are from all over the world. We come from different backgrounds. We all had different lives before this, so it is really interesting how a lot of different nationalities are represented and it is super cool."

While it's great that ladies from all nationalities are being represented, we can't wait to see some different shapes and sizes doing their thing down the runway.

Candice Huffine made history in 2014 when she became the first plus-size model to feature in the Pirelli calendar - so come on, Victoria's Secret, get with the times!
