The dress features an upper bodice, cinched in at the waist with a dark green belt.

In a daring move for Kate, the gown scoops down the back and the sleeves are lined with green lace.

The Duchess accessorized her outfit with a $300 gold clutch bag by Wilbur and Gussie and a pair of gold, strappy Jimmy Choo shoes.

Kate is an avid art fan and she famously studied art history when she attended St Andrews.

The Duchess is the patron of the National Portrait Gallery and was shown around the building, showing keen interest in artwork on display.

According to the Daily Mail, Kate was introduced to the parents of a child who attends Thomas’s School in Battersea, where George is set to enroll in September.
