How to beat the dreaded CRF (Change Room Frustrations)

You’ve just done two floors of Zara, scoured every single pair of sales rack jeans (twice) and given serious side-eye to the woman hovering as you snatched up that last pair of size 8 stilettos.

It’s time for a break.

But instead, you’ve got to battle the lighting, lines and low blood sugar and head to the change rooms to actually try on the goodies you’ve nabbed off the rack.

It makes sense that new research has found 95 percent of Aussie women suffer from CRF, or change room frustrations, when we’re out at the shops.

Our biggest pet peeves?

58% hate having a restricted number of garments to take in.
50% can’t handle the long queues.
48% shudder at the sight of dirty or untidy fitting rooms.
41% struggle with the artificial lighting.

It's little wonder more of us are steering towards the comfort and convenience of online shopping. Celebrity shopper and stylist Kelly Smythe, who has worked with stars such as Jennifer Hawkins, Jodi Gordon and Megan Gale, agrees.

“It’s a quick and convenient way to purchase,” she says.

For Smythe, Aussie e-tailer The Iconic is one of her go-to sites, since it stocks over 45,000 products including camilla and marc, Nike and Ivy Park (Beyonce's activewear line which practically sold out overnight at launch).

“I have access [to] all the brands that a traditional retail store would carry with the convenience of working (and shopping) from home or on-the-go”.

Also, think of the other positives of online shopping – sipping wine in your pyjamas while buying shoes. Total win.

Plus, there’s nothing like getting your shopping delivered to work (that’s what your work address is for, right?) and having your buddies stampede over to check out your latest buys.

You can't get that in a cubicle, can you?
