Fears for Nicole Kidman's son

Nicole Kidman is reportedly looking to ‘rescue’ her son Connor Cruise, who is being targeted by Scientology bosses, according to New Idea.

Connor Cruise is said to be in lockdown in a Scientology compound in Florida, having been moved into the luxury Sandcastle Hotel in a bid to get him to follow in his dad Tom Cruise’s footsteps, the magazine report claims.

“He is going to be the golden boy of Scientology,” ex-scientologist Katrina Reyes, whose mother is the manager of Sandcastle among other properties, says.

Katrina claims Connor is being subjected to courses and auditing plus a strict regime of vitamins and juice. He would also reportedly have bodyguards and security to control his moves 24/7.

A close friend of Nicole says the mum, who lives in Nashville, is ‘tearing her hair out’.

“She is incredibly concerned Connor is being punished for his wild partying and committing crimes in the church’s eyes,” the friend tells publication.

Connor split from model girlfriend Phylicia Bugna in November 2017, after she said she didn’t want to get ‘sucked in’ to Scientology. That relationship was deemed ‘unsuitable’ by church bosses.

It’s long been reported that after Nicole and Tom split in 2001, and the kids lived with him, that the Aussie actress was deemed a “suppressive person,” in Scientology terminology (the kids embraced the controversial religion like their dad), and there was no contact between them.

However Bella and Nicole appeared to have put any past differences aside when Bella named her new clothing line after her adoptive mother earlier this year.

Nicole had previously given acceptance speeches at award nights and not mention Bella or Connor, while giving a shout out her daughters with Keith Urban, Sunday and Faith.

But then when Nicole picked up a Critics’ Choice Movie Award in January, she made a point to thank “all of my children, who show me so much love.”

It’s no surprise Nicole wouldn’t want Connor getting in any deeper with the controversial religion.

“She plans to do everything in her power to rescue him,” her friend tells New Idea.
