She was notably absent from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding back in 2011, but Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was pictured beaming on her way into Windsor Castle at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials.

The 58-year-old, who is the mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and is married to Prince Andrew, looked stunning in a fitted navy dress with white trim.

She waved to the waiting crowd as she strolled towards St George’s Chapel, showing off her navy fascinator and matching clutch bag.

It’s been claimed that Prince Harry was adamant his aunt should be at his nuptials, despite his brother, Prince William, leaving her off his guest list entirely when he married Kate Middleton in 2011.

And while Prince Harry may see no harm in having Fergie as one of his 600 guests, and is even believed to have instructed Kensington Palace to put her on the list, his father, Prince Charles, is said to be furious.

“Numbers are limited to the evening party, she is not a member of the Royal Family any more and Prince Charles simply doesn’t have time for her,” a source told The Express.

“He just can’t see why she is still such a big part of his brother’s life.”

Fergie and her ex-husband do however still live together at Royal Lodge and have a friendly relationship.

Indeed, the Duchess of York was also said to be very close with Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, and became a member of the royal family just five years after the Princess of Wales did.

Meanwhile, Prince Philip is said to be Fergie’s least biggest fan in the family and could never forgive her for being photographed having her toes sucked by financial advisor, John Bryan, before her divorce from Prince Andrew was officially finalised.

“It will be fascinating to see if the Duke of Edinburgh acknowledges her,” the source said.

“He has held a grudge against her for a long, long time and normally refuses to even be in the same room as her.”
