First look at Margot Robbie in new film with Leonardo DiCaprio

Margot Robbie has shared the first image of herself as Sharon Tate in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

The Australian actress will play the murdered wife of Roman Polanski in the Quentin Tarantino film set against the backdrop of the Charles Manson murders.

Tate was killed on 9 August, 1969, along with four others, by members of the Manson Family while she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with hers and Polanski’s son.

Sharon’s sister, Debra Tate, was initially against the film believing it to be exploitative but has since met with Tarantino who reassured her of the film’s content and how the late actress would be depicted.

“This movie is not what people would expect it to be when you combine the Tarantino and Manson names,” she told TMZ.

The film also marks Margot’s second time starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio (How could we ever forget this pair in The Wolf of Wall Street?).

This picture of Margot comes after the first official image of Leonardo and co-star Brad Pitt was released.

They play TV actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo) and stuntman Cliff Booth (Brad), respectively, best friends who were also Sharon’s neighbour before her murder.

The film, set in 1969, revolves around Dalton and Booth as their plans to break Hollywood get mixed up in the Manson murders.

The production is currently underway in Los Angeles with many parts of the town being transformed to reflect the style and culture of the late Sixties.

Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Kurt Russell, James Marsden, Damien Lewis, Burt Reynolds, Luke Perry and Tim Roth appear in the supporting cast.
