Scientists say this is the best way to cook vegetables

It’s dinner time, you’ve hardly eaten any vegetables all day and can’t be bothered to cook any greens.

It’s just going to be one of those days where you write off being healthy, right?

Wrong. The next time you’re suffering from an attack of the non-veg eating guilts, look to none other than your trusty microwave.

Scientists say despite the common belief that microwaves strip your greens of their nutrients, the opposite is actually true.

“[Microwaving] keeps more vitamins and minerals than almost any other cooking method,” explains a Harvard Medical School report.

There’s a catch though. Make sure not to nuke your veg when you pop it in the microwave.

The National Brassica Survey found broccoli should be cooked for three to five minutes to keep their nutritional value.
