Pokéburgers are a trend even non-Pokémon Go players can appreciate

Sydney's insane burger pop-up store is getting in on the Pokémon trend in ways you could never have imagined.

Just as the hype of playing Pokémon Go seems to be dying down, Poké-inspired foods like Down N’ Out’s Pokéburgers just seem to be getting started.

The burger-obsessed brains behind the Japanese anime-inspired creations have come out with three unique and adorable burgers: Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Pikachu.

The limited edition Pokéburgers ($15) not only look spot on like the characters, they also look super delicious too!

The Pikachu burger consists of a juicy wagyu beef patty, heaps of melty cheese, pickles, French fries and charred Doritos for years on a yellow-dyed bun.

The Charmander burger with its adorable red bun sandwiching red American cheese and crispy Doritos, looks mind-blowingly awesome, while the mean, green Bulbasaur burger has a broccoli sticking out of its head.

It took creative director, Ben Kagan, four weeks to get the buns and burgers just right and tonight’s the night!

Down N’ Out’s creations are available one night only on Tuesday August 23 from 5pm.

To maintain their burgers’ quality, the pop up has put a one Pokéburger per person policy in place and are only selling them as eat-in at the Sir John Young Hotel on Sydney's George Street.

No doubt the queues will already be snaking down the street before they open, so get there early to catch ‘em all!
