Watch what happens when this guy eats the world's spiciest ‘Death’ ramen
When it comes to food challenges, there’s some we could totally get onboard with.
Eating a towering burger with 20 patties? Bring it. Scoffing a one kilogram burrito? Ambitious, but we’d give it a go. Eating the world’s hottest ramen made with 100 Birdseye chilies? Not a chance.

Youtube star Ben Te was more than up for the challenge though, heading to the Abang Adek restaurant located in Jakarta. A restaurant totally dedicated to Indomie, or instant ramen, the dish its famous for is named “pedas mampus” or “death spicy”.
Posting the video to his Awesome Eats Youtube channel, Ben is seen sitting down with a friend. Eyeing off the glowing-red noodles before he takes a huge bite, Ben starts shaking his head as soon as the spice hits his lips.
After just a few seconds, it's clear both men are in extreme pain. In fact, Ben's buddy bows out within seconds, saying, “It’s not edible. It’s so hot…This is not for humans, man.”
But Ben is a man on a hot-noodle mission. Persevering with a second bite, Ben is seen quickly stripping off his shirt as he becomes red-faced and sweaty.
He’s barely able to get the mouthful down before standing up and grabbing drinks and shovelling ice frantically in his mouth. When that doesn't work, he's seen plunging his entire head under a tap to drench himself in cold water.
“It’s not stopping,” he says. “This sucks… this is the worst feeling you’ll ever have in your life. I can’t handle it. I can’t hear anything, I’m f**king deaf! I’m deaf! I can’t hear s**t!”
You’ll be glad to know Ben thankfully regained his hearing… but will probably never eat this ramen ever again.
