Accredited practicing dietician, Robbie Clark told Body+Soul, “Research has suggested this is a safe amount for people who are trying to maintain a healthy diet.”

While this means people could eat up to 21 eggs a week, he says most people don’t eat them every day.

When choosing your toast, always go with a wholemeal or wholegrain option.

“My personal favourite is a dark rye sourdough,” Robbie tells Body+Soul. He also recommends only one piece (sorry bread lovers).

As for the egg yolk; while it is the part of egg that contains fat, you shouldn’t necessarily remove it from your diet.

Keri Gans, R.D, author of The Small Change Diet tells Women’s Health Magazine, “All the fat soluble vitamins are found in yolk, so if you remove that, yes, you are removing fat, but you also remove a lot of nutritional value.”
