Ginger Coke is here - but will you love it or hate it?

If you’re a Coca-Cola lover but looking for something to wake up your tastebuds, Coke Ginger is here just in time for summer.

The soft drink giant is introducing a “limited batch” of the new flavour to Australia.

In a world exclusive, Aussie drinkers will be the first trial the first new flavour to the Coke range since vanilla coke in 2002.

“How quickly it comes and goes in the market will depend on how popular it is,” Lisa Winn, marketing director at Coca-Cola South Pacific told news.com.au.

“We anticipate it will be three or four months over summer.”

Said to taste like ginger beer mixed with Coke, reaction to the drink has been mixed so far, with some saying the taste of ginger was “underwhelming”.

According to news.com.au, ginger isn’t even listed as an ingredient on the label.
