You won't believe what happens when you microwave a Flake

When we heard rumours swirling that our beloved Cadbury Chocolate Flake DIDN'T melt in the microwave, we had to test it for ourselves.

What kind of futuristic chocolate bar is this?!

We decided to take on the very difficult task of testing the chocolate bar's melting factor by zapping it in a microwave.

And just 'cause we're thorough (*cough* greedy), we also tested out the melting factor of a normal Cadbury chocolate bar.

The results? Kinda mind blowing.

The normal chocolate was completely melted after 60 seconds in the microwave but the Flake was completely intact.

We then tried put the Flake in for another 60 seconds and still NOTHING!

A Cadbury spokesperson explained that the baffling occurrence was down to the structure of the ingredients in the chocolate bar.

"The reason it's difficult to melt is because, for nearly a century, we have deliberately controlled the final manufacturing process to ensure the folds of the bar crumble in the mouth," the rep said.

So there you have it.
