We’ve all had one: a wine time emergency when you just need a nice, cold glass of rosé or friends are coming over but there’s nothing in the fridge.
Dropping an ice-cube in your glass is one option, but let’s be honest, not the classiest look.
Luckily, one wine expert has revealed their top wine hack to chilling wine in an instant – and it’s ridiculously simple.
All you need is some ice, salt, a wine bucket and three minutes.
"An ice water bath with plenty of salt works like a charm," master sommelier Brian McClintic tells My Domaine.
"The full bottle should be submerged. It's hard to say how much salt—let's just say a liberal amount. What happens is the bottle is encased in ice and therefore comes down in temperature much more quickly."
To speed this up even more, give the bottle a quick spin while it’s being submerged.
