How to Make the Ultimate Beef Burger

Ingredients

1x 150 gm beef mince
1 brioche bun halved
1 leaf cos lettuce
2 thin slices tomato
3 rings brown onion
3 thin slices dill pickles
2 slices quality cheddar cheese
1 tbsp sriracha chilli sauce
2 tbsp Mayo
Mustard
Tomato sauce
Salt & pepper

Method

For the sriracha mayo:
Mix together siracha and mayo.

For the patty:

Gently mould the mince into a palm sized patty. Press your thumb in middle to avoid it from balling up when grilled.

Season one side generously right before grilling with salt and pepper.

Flatten on grill using spatula to keep fibres loose.

One a nice brown crust has formed (about 4 minutes), flip it and immediately season the other side. Add the cheddar cheese, letting it melt. Cook to just under medium.

For the bun:
Butter the bun and grill the flat side to warm the bun and melt the butter into it.

To assemble the burger:


  • Top bun

  • Sriracha mayo

  • Cos lettuce

  • Tomatoes

  • Onion rings

  • Sliced dill pickles

  • Melted cheddar cheese

  • Beef patty

  • Mustard and Ketchup drizzle

  • Bottom bun
