Gigi Hadid has had a bad run the last couple of weeks landing herself in hot water once again after paparazzi photographer Peter Cepeda files lawsuit against her.

Peter is claiming the model has used his photo without permission and that it’s a licensed photo exclusive to the Daily Mail and TMZ.

In the lawsuit he claims, “act of infringement [that] was willful and intentional, in disregard of and with indifference to the rights of Cepeda.”

The model posted to her Instagram account back in July last year a picture of herself wearing a slogan jacket which read 'Hadidas' and hair curlers in her hair.

The lawsut is yet to be brought to court and the image remains on her social media account.

It comes after Gigi was called-out by fans for being “racist” after confirming that she will be walking in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai.

The backlash came after her sister Bella posted a video to her Instagram account back in February but was then swiftly deleted.

The video showed Gigi grabbing what looks to be a cookie with a Buddha face on it, holding it up to her face and squinting her eyes and laughing.

Fans were quick to call the model out as being “racist” with one fan commenting, “Gigi don’t come to Shanghai we don’t need a racist,” and another saying, “Gigi Hadid is an Asian racists, Gig is not welcomed in China. Just get out of my country.”

Bella was quick to remove her video from the account after infuriating fans.

However the video was already saved and shared by internet users, sending fans into a feeding frenzy.

Gigi and her reps are yet to officially comment on the incident however a direct tweet from the model has been shared of her apologising for offending anyone.

We hope the model doesn’t have too much trouble getting into China for the VS show.
