Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff split
Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff have confirmed they've parted ways after more than five years together.
According to a report in People, both their reps have issued statements calling the break-up "amicable."
While no reason has been given for the cordial separation, E! Online said the pair, who own a house a share a dog, have been living separately since December.
"Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was," a source told the publication. "They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on."
The Girls creator met Jack, a musician, when set up on a blind date back in 2012 by his sister.
Back in November, Lena, 31, revealed on Twitter that she thought the Fun guitarist and lead Bleachers frontman was going to pop the question — only to discover she'd got it completely wrong.
“I thought Jack was furtively planning a proposal to me with his sister,” she tweeted. “And he just admitted I actually caught him ‘talking sh*t’ about me!”
“Now I literally can’t sleep cuz [sic] I’m laughing too hard and I am also keeping him awake,” she continued. “5.5 years, no rock and you know what? It’s real nice.”
Despite her relationship breaking down, Lena still attended HBO's Golden Globes after party.
