Grandma's hilarious Facebook fail goes viral

One grandma has become an internet sensation after she accidentally made a social media faux pas.

Taking to her Facebook account, the grandma shared a satirical post she saw on Facebook user Boris Medina’s page, which showed a picture of a couple she believed were ‘stealing children in the South of Quito’.

It asked people to call the police immediately if they saw them, but the problem was, the picture was of a very famous celebrity couple.

In fact, the photo showed a loved-up, newly-engaged, 24-year-old Justin Bieber and his fiancé, 21-year-old Hailey Baldwin, who are smiling at the camera in the snap.

Her granddaughter, Naraya, found the whole thing hilarious, and reposted it to her Twitter account, where is has since been liked over 103,000 times.

When Boris Medina realised what had happened, and how much attention the grandmother’s post was getting, he posted an apology underneath his Facebook post.

Naraya later said her grandma has ‘no idea’ the post was meant to be satirical.

“We’re Ecuadorian, so she took it upon herself to let everyone over there know to be weary of those ‘criminals’,” she said, according to Buzzfeed.
