Grandma's epic clapback to son's anti-LGBT comment goes viral
If you’re ever looking for sound advice, chances are your grandparents are some of the first people you dial up.
Not only are they always your biggest supporters but they’re also guaranteed to keep things very real.
And that’s what happened when Twitter user Minovsky’s dad decided to have an anti-LGBT rant around his mother, which has since gone viral online.
“Dad ranted about how LGBTQIA+ identities were getting too confusing to keep up with,” Minovsky started the tweet.
He then went on to explain how his 88-year-old grandma completely shut his father down by saying: “The way things are now is better than when people had to hide away or killed themselves because nobody understood who they were.
“Respect costs you nothing.”
The tweet has already been liked nearly 184,00 times and retweeted 50,000 times, with people saluting the grandma for her epic response.

“You have the coolest grandma,” one person said, while another simply stated: “Grandma for the win.”
“Tell your grandma I love her with all my heart and need more people like her in this world,” a commenter said.
Minovsky then came back online to say that his Grandma has got “bi and trans grandkids, and has been open minded and willing to learn if it means her family is happy”.
“That’s all any of us can really ask for.”
