What happened to MKR's Sonya and Hadil?

It’s been one of the most nail-biting seasons of My Kitchen Rules.

And with it coming to an end on Sunday with contestants Alex and Emily taking home the MKR winners’ crown, we were left wondering where Sonya and Hadil were.

It wasn’t hard to ignore the absence of the villains, who were infamously known as the team kicked off the show due to ‘unacceptable’ behaviour at the dinner table.

It seems they were not invited back to the studio to watch the final show-down between the two teams.

But if they weren’t at the finale, where were they? And more importantly, where are they now?

It seems the controversial women have distanced even further away from one another after their joint Instagram account was shut down last week, leaving a message to their fans to follow their individual Instagram accounts. Errm… awkward.

“This account will be shut down shortly,” the official statement read.

And just couple of days ago, it seems Sonya just wanted to escape all the drama after posting a holiday snap in Ubud, Bali accompanied with the caption, “Sunsets in the rice paddie of Bali”.

The outspoken former MKR contestant had other things on her mind than watching the show’s finale on Sunday, and shared some cute island getaway pics including a pre-dinner selfie from her balcony at the popular Alaya Resort in Ubud where she was staying.

The oh so glam 34-year-old has recently launched her own cooking series on YouTube.

She unveiled her first recipe of falafel prawns on her Instagram stories on Sunday, showing her followers she’s not quitting cooking and she’s moving forward with her culinary career.

Her former teammate, Hadil, has been focusing on her job as a makeup artist and beauty therapist in Cairns.

Some posts she shared were captioned with inspirational quotes, including “Don’t allow someone to make you feel like you’re not good enough,” and a famous Nelson Mandela quote, “Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell and got back up again”.

Still feeling a little burned perhaps?

Both women seem to be posting throwback snaps of their journey on My Kitchen Rules, sharing the hashtags #cancook and #mykitchenrules despite being excused from the show for their ‘unacceptable’ behaviour to other contestants on the series.

They are also yet to be seen out and about together after their awkward MKR exit, and its been rumoured they’ve had a fall out after the controversial feud.

Could this be the end of Sonya and Hadil?
