Hilary Duff has reportedly stepped up her security team after police warned her about an obsessed fan who is trying to find her.

TMZ reports that the fan hired a limousine driver to escort him around LA in search of the Lizzie McGuire actress’s home earlier this month so that he could propose to her.

He was reportedly carrying a photo of the 28-year-old singer’s home, but did not have her address.

After the two-hour search came up short, the driver reportedly called local police and warned them of the man’s intentions, with authorities then contacting Duff’s team, who apparently already knew what the man looked like from previous incidents.

The mum-of-one has never filed a police report or requested a restraining order against the unidentified man.

How scary!

TMZ has reported that Hilary will be adding to her security team.

A decade ago, Duff took out a restraining order against stalker Maksim Myaskovskiy, a Russian national who travelled to LA for the sole purpose of “becoming romantically involved” with Duff, who was dating Joel Madden at the time.
