Hollywood reacts to Bill Cosby's guilty verdict
Following the news Bill Cosby had been convicted of aggravated assault on Thursday afternoon, many celebrities have reacted to the guilty verdict.
The actor pleaded not guilty but was convicted of sexually assaulting and drugging Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004.
Many celebrities rejoiced in the conviction of the 80-year-old actor.
Rose McGowan, who has previously accused disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, reacted to the verdict on Twitter.
She said she was “profoundly happy” the victims of Cosby could shed “tears of relief”.
Cosby is guilty. I’m sorry if you loved a lie. His victims can now exhale. Thank you judge and jury. Thank you society for waking up.

Jessica Chastain, a strong advocate for the Time’s Up movement, also spoke out insisting “consent must be given” no matter who the person is.

Many others including Chelsea Handler, Elizabeth Banks and Patricia Arquette also spoke out on the verdict.

Cosby’s guilty conviction comes nearly 10 months after his first trial.
Jurors were caught in a deadlock on whether the actor was guilty or not guilty.
