Hotel breakfast debate divides opinion

We’re all for comfort, but heading to the breakfast buffet at your hotel in your PJs might be taking things a little too far.

Obviously, holidays are about relaxing and ‘letting loose’ a little bit, but seriously, should everyone be subjected to your bed hair?

Photos have started circulating on Twitter of guests rocking up to the hotel breakfast wearing their fluffy pyjama and slippers, dressing gowns and even shower caps.

And other guests are clearly outraged, sharing photos of the culprits on social media and various forums.

“I don’t think it’s appropriate. It’s tacky, inappropriate and gauche,” one person wrote on Tripadvisor.

“Wearing pyjamas at breakfast is the height of sloppiness,” etiquette expert William Hanson to The Sun.

But while it may not be something you would do, it turns out that there are a surprisingly large amount of people ok with it.

“There is nothing wrong with wearing pyjamas, I would wear them at breakfast but my mum tells me off,” one person wrote on Twitter.

And on Tripadvisor, people also called out others for ‘overreacting’.

“This is not a big deal. Who cares what other people are doing,” user Ben.
