Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, online clothing store ModCloth Matt Kaness, said he always starts off every interview with the same question.

“I always start off every conversation, every interview with, 'So I understand that we're talking about an opportunity — what do you think?'" he said.

"It's really about quickly getting past the formality of an interview to really find what motivates this person, in order to make sure they really fit the culture.”

Likewise, is you’re looking for a job with YouTube, you better be prepared to answer some obscure interview questions.

In an interview with Business Insider, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki said she always quizzes an interviewee on how they manage their mailbox.

“I found that incredibly interesting, the variety in ways people manage their email,” she said.

If you’re wondering what the right answer way, Susan claims she never deletes any emails and keeps them all in one folder so she can always do a quick search.

In another interview with Business Insider, Hasbro’s CEO Karen Davis, said she likes to ask people what their favourite quote is.

“I think it’s just one little way of seeing whether this is really part of someone’s soul,” she said.

“Have they really been following any of these great leaders and trying to understand what made them great?”
