In an intimate new interview with Esquire magazine, Playboy founder (and lover of women) Hugh Hefner has revealed that he's slept with **insert drum roll** over 1,000 women in his time.
"How could I possibly know?" Hef told the mag, adding: "Over a thousand, I'm sure."
Now we're not justifying his lothario ways, but when you take into account the fact that he's 86-years-old and the founder of an American men's magazine that features photographs of nude women that is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, it kinda makes sense.
When you do the math, one new sexual partner per week over the course of 20 years would give a tally of 1,040 women.
Plus you also need to account for the fact that Hef has been married for chunks of his life.
"When I was married I never cheated," Hef told the mag. "But I made up for it when I wasn't married. You have to keep your hand in."
From 1949 to 1959 Hef was married to Mildred Williams. From this marriage he has two grown children; Christie, 60, and David, 57.
From 1989 to 2010 Hef was married to former Playboy Playmate Kimberley Conrad. From this marriage he had two more children; Marston, 22, and Cooper, 21.
Of course his latest wife -- and one-time runaway bride -- Crystal Harris just happens to be the best.
"I just feel very, very fortunate to have found her at this stage in my life," he gushed. "I saved the best till last."
At 26 years old, Harris is 60 years his junior.
The pair finally wed on New Years Eve last year after Crystal called off the their first nuptials at the 11th hour in 2011 due to cold feet.
