The wife of Playboy creator Hugh Hefner finally opened up about the sad loss of her hubby.
Now his family have revealed Crystal Harris, 31, was a 'pillar of strength' to the publishing pioneer during his final days.
In a report by TMZ, the family were said to have been pleasantly surprised by her caring behaviour, saying the model was at every doctor's appointment and that she was 'supportive until the end'.
They had once been dubious of her relationship with the Playboy magazine founder, after she called off their wedding in 2011 just five days before they were due to tie the knot.
They eventually married the following year.
Their words come just after Crystal herself paid tribute to her 'hero' of a husband in an interview with People magazine.
“He was an American hero. A pioneer. A kind and humble soul who opened up his life and home to the world,” she told the publication. “I felt how much he loved me. I loved him so much. I am so grateful."
She told the publication that Hugh, 91, was laid to rest in the place he 'wanted to spend eternity,' and gushed adoringly over the man that 'changed her life' and taught her 'kindness.'
"There never has and never will be another Hugh M. Hefner,” Crystal said.
