Hugh Jackman shares hilariously awkward Katy Perry moment

They’re both megastars with millions of fans and endless talent to boot. But Hugh Jackman couldn’t help himself after he caught up with Katy Perry backstage during her Aussie WITNESS tour, fangirling and sharing a snap of their meet and greet.

“Amazing concert,” Hugh captioned the Instagram pic. “@katyperry is the bomb. Her energy on stage is contagious. Loved it!”

But while Hugh’s caption might have been suitably enthusiastic, fans were quick to point out Katy’s positioning in the photo made it seem like him and his wife Deborra-lee Furness were anything but to have the popstar in their happy snap.

Hugh, 49, is notorious for sharing loved-up snaps of him and his wife of 22 years, and loves using the #mydebs.

And it had social media cracking jokes that Katy had somehow managed to third-wheel her way into one of those pics.

“Looks like @katyperry was a photobomb of a cute family photo!” joked one on Instagram.

“I love how this is fully a picture of his wife and Katy is also there,” quipped another fan.

Not only did it seem like Katy – who was pretty unmissable in her gold amour costume and peroxided crop – was awkwardly latching on to the couple, fans were quick to point out that she was lucky to have even made it in the photo at all thanks to some serious cropping.

“Love that ol mate Hugh cropped out @katyperry so we could all take in that delicious knit of his,” joked another fan.
