Husband's epic response to trolls criticising wife's stretch marks

After giving birth to six kids, mum Sharny Kieser has made an incredible effort to get her body back to its toned and fittest form.

However, after sharing an image of her stomach online to her and her husband’s shared Instagram account, the proud mum copped horrible backlash from trolls saying she needed to “photoshop the disgusting stretch marks out”.

Fair to say, her husband, Julius, was not happy about it and decided to respond with a tribute post to highlight his wife’s stretch marks even more.

“Last week, I posted a photo of Sharny with her tummy out and a young girl said, “at least photoshop the disgusting stretch marks out.” Here’s a new photo, where I’ve adjusted the light so you can see ONLY stretch marks,” he said with his post.

“Enjoy, because I do. I think they’re beautiful. I think they symbolise the strength of a mother who brought 6 children into the world. Not just this mother, but EVERY mother.”

Julius went on to say he believes true beauty lies in women who have gained life experience and continue to show confidence in themselves and their bodies, rather than those still insecure about the ‘shallow’ things like stretch marks.

“I hope that when they DO earn their depth of character and maybe scars/stretch marks, they KNOW that they are not ugly or used, but beautiful and important and courageous,” he says.

Fellow mums, who follow the fitness couples’ account for inspiration, applauded Julius for such empowering words:

“So inspiring and so true. Love this, and thank you for admiring the beauty in what others see as flaws!” a follower said.

“Yes yes yes! Absolutely right we are strong, beautiful mums with stretch marks,” another cheered.

“Omgoodness. you’ve said it so perfectly. Sharney is the most beautiful example of a real proud fit mum. Stretch marks are smile lines of the female tummy. #my babies made me a woman,” said a third person.

"How do I get rid of my disgusting loose skin?" Every single day we get asked this. Every day. Here's the answer: You can surgically tighten your tummy skin, just like you can surgically increase or decrease your boobs. What I'm more concerned with is the word "disgusting." Please don't say that. When your daughter has given you grandkids, are you going to tell her that her stomach is disgusting? Of course not, so don't say it to yourself. Whatever you SAY about yourself, your kids will BELIEVE about themselves forever. So what would you say to your daughter? "That tummy was the first home for your baby. It carried them, protected them, kept them warm, comforted them and fed them. The skin on the outside stretched. Just like EVERY OTHER MOTHER ON EARTH. Some go back to how they looked before, but most stay loose." Your stomach is not disgusting, neither is it weird or different. YOU are not weird or different. You are a mum. flat tummy, stretched tummy, loose skin, tight skin, stretch marks, tattoos, piercings, surgically tightened skin, C-section scars. It doesn't matter what your tummy looks like, it's FUCKING AMAZING! Every single person's first home was a mummy tummy. Our future is 100% dependent on a mummy tummy. That's a HUGE deal! This should surely be the most celebrated part of a human body. Not tits, ass or balls, it should be the mummy tummy. While she may be confident now, mum Sharney has admitted in the past that it’s taken her a while to love her body however she sees it as a necessary step to be a good influence for her kids.

“For my 5 sons: If I behave in a way that shows them my mummy tummy is gross, how will that help their future wives (and marriages)?” she posted to Facebook.

“For my daughter: If I am ashamed of my tummy and hide it, she will be afraid of having babies one day because of what it does to her body.

“I don’t ever want my kids to know what it’s like to hate their own bodies. It’s taken a lot to get to the point now where I actually love my body. All of it.”
