The hysterical moment Carrie Bickmore explained 'baby making' to three-year-old daughter

It’s the moment many parents dread; having the awkward conversation about the birds and the bees with your kids.

Carrie Bickmore, who is currently pregnant with her third child, was recently in that predicament with her three-year-old daughter Evie, after the youngster kept questioning her baby bump.

“[I had] to explain to Evie how the baby got in my tummy because she’s obsessed, it’s all she asks me, over and over again,” 37-year-old Carrie recalled on her 2Day FM radio show with co-host Tommy Little.

“If I don’t give her the answer, and I say, ‘Go ask Daddy’ then she goes asks Daddy, Daddy says ‘Go ask mummy’ and so it goes on.”

However when it came to having ‘the talk’, the heavy lifting was left to her partner Chris Walker.

“She Facetimed me while I was away and she said, ‘Mummy, mummy, I know how the baby got in there’,” she explained.

“Then Chris pipes up in the background, ‘Oh, I dealt with it.'”

“He said, ‘I just told her it straight, I just said, it involves using mummy’s [bleeping sound] and daddy’s [bleeping sound], those two things back together make a baby… he said the proper word for it, because we do that in our house.”

But little Evie didn’t leave it there, she questioned why “you don’t use [your] bottom”. Oh the joys of parenting.

The Project host didn’t get off the hook completely though, she got caught up in a hilarious conversation about “holes” in the body with Evie and how the baby gets out.

“I said, ‘It comes out my hole’. And she said, ‘Do I have a hole?’ And I said, ‘Yes’ and she said, ‘I have a big one’ and I said, ‘Sure’,” she explained in hysterics.

“I explained how it stretches because… I was naked at the time and she was looking at me and she was trying to work out how it came out!”

Oh the curiosity of children is just brilliant sometimes isn’t it?

In June Carrie announced her third pregnancy with a sweet family video.

Her 11-year-old son Oliver – whom she had with her late husband Greg Lange – is seen telling younger sister Evie that the family unit is expanding.
