Nicole Kidman's diva reaction to not winning an award

Nicole Kidman is the golden girl of the moment this awards season, but it seems the actress may not be a big fan of losing.

Aussie TV star Kerry Armstrong spilled some tea on Nic while in the South African jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, where she recounted the time they were both up for Best Actress at the 2001 Australian Film Institute Awards.

The 59-year-old was up for her lead role in Lantana, and Nicole was nominated for her lead part in hit film Moulin Rouge!.

"When we went up against each other for the AFI Awards, it was Moulin Rouge! versus Lantana," Kerry recalled. "We were so waiting forMoulin Rouge! to win everything."

It was Russell Crowe who took to the stage to present the accolade.

"Russell Crowe said, 'I'm here to announce Best Actress, it is four really wonderful ladies. I've got a big of bias going on so I came all the way to announce Best Actress,'" Kerry said telling her camp-mates the story.

The bias Rusty had mentioned as he presented the award was his close friendship with Nic.

"Nicole was up there getting ready and he said Best Actress and he said my name," Kerry explained. "There was a lot of commotion on that side of the room."

The actress went on to say she had been informed that Nicole had gotten up and left.

"Vince [Colosimo] came up or Anthony LaPaglia came up and said she'd [Nicole] left the room," Kerry recalled. "I went up on stage and Russell Crowe was visibly unimpressed."

Oh dear, how awkward. Watch Kerry tell the story in the video above.

It's all fine and dandy for Nicole now because she hasn't had to lose out to anyone this awards season, bringing home all the accolades for her role as Celeste Wright on Big Little Lies.
