Inside Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough's luxe Mexican destination wedding
It’s the lavish five-star resort with a gorgeous chapel overlooking the dazzling Sea of Cortez that Karl Stefanovic and his fiancée Jasmine Yarbrough have reportedly chosen as their luxury wedding destination.
And it looks like Karl and Jasmine are in pretty good company, tying the knot at the glamorous One&Only Palmilla Resort in Mexico, the hotel A-lister Jennifer Aniston considers her home away from home.
Located in the sun-drenched town of San Jòse del Cabo, Karl and Jasmine are following in the footsteps of other celebs when it comes to picking this quaint Mexican getaway as their wedding destination.
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine tied the knot with Victoria’s Secret stunner Behati Prinsloo at San Jòse del Cabo’s lush Flora Farms organic farm back in July 2014.
On that exact same day, Glee star Naya Rivera wed her now ex-husband, actor Ryan Dorsey, in the neighbouring town of Cabo San Lucas.
So what is it about this idyllic Mexican hotspot that has celebrities flying their loved ones in from all around the world to host their big day?
According to Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of Los Cabos – the name given to the two towns of San Jòse del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas – the locale offers up the combination of breathtaking scenery, perfect weather and high levels of service every bride and groom need to host the ultimate wedding festival.
“Los Cabos is a combination of desert, mountains and the two oceans – the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean,” Rodrigo tells Be.
“The combination of scenery means you can organise events in the middle desert in the canyon, on an organic farm, or even have a beach party.”
Rodrigo reveals seven percent of visitors to the region – which boasts 350 days of sun a year – are there to celebrate love.
“The main reason is the romance – either honeymoon or wedding,” he says.
And Karl and Jasmine are no exception. The loved-up pair aren’t sparing any expense with the Daily Mail reporting their big day plans include booking two villas at the One&Only Palmilla at a combined cost of nearly $30,000 per night, three-day festivities and having 60 of their loved-ones fly out for the wedding.
