Inside the luxe Cuban hotel Beyoncé couldn’t get enough of

Let’s face it, Beyoncé knows how to live life. From reclining on luxury super yachts to renting mega mansions right on the beach, Queen Bey is total holiday goals.

So when Be had the opportunity to tick off that ultimate bucket list destination of Cuba, there was only once place we wanted to stay – the Hotel Saratoga in Havana, where Bey rested her weary head during her stay back in 2013.

Not only a fave of Beyoncé, but with Madonna making the luxe Suite Habana her home for a three-day fiesta to celebrate her 58th birthday back in 2016, it’s pretty fair to say this is a firm fave of celebrities.

And we can see why.

Stepping into the cool foyer of the hotel – which is located just across the road from the landmark El Capitolio building and overlooking Fraternity Park – it’s all about old school colonial elegance and modern Cuban charm rolled into one.

Soaring ceilings and a grand staircase leads to one of the prettiest hotel bars Be’s ever seen, complete with palm trees, cane furniture and an outrageously extensive rum menu.

Not only is it just the place to give you a breather from the honking cars, bustling chaos and blaring salsa music outside, but take a lift to the rooftop pool and bar at sunset for one of the best views of the city.

Cuba might be the city that begs you to put off bedtime, but when it does come time to rest and recharge, the 96 rooms offer something for everyone.

There are deluxe rooms with gorgeous windows overlooking the internal courtyard, but Be was lucky enough to score a junior suite decked out in traditional Cuban design with a balcony overlooking the park.

With rooms starting at $339 per night, it’s not cheap. But other than the total sense of calm and luxury, there are extra perks.

Located just a short stroll from Havana Old Town and the scenic sea breeze of the Malecon, Hotel Saratoga is just steps away from the eating institution that is Los Nardos (stroll over early to avoid the huge queues of people patiently waiting for huge, delicious feeds at ridiculous prices). It also offers an incredible buffet breakfast and most importantly free wifi (trust us, this is a rarity in Cuba, and your Instagram feed will thank you for it).

We can see why Beyoncé loved it here…
