After initially revealing the ceremony would take place in UK spring 2018, Kensington Palace tweeted a statement that the royal wedding will take place next May, at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The statement also went on confirm that the Queen had granted permission for the ceremony to take place in the chapel, and that the royal family will pay for the wedding.
With Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby said to be due in April, it’s speculated the couple have chosen that date so the new bub could be one of their guests.

And while his brother famously tied the knot at Westminster Abbey, Harry isn’t the first royal to choose not to marry in Westminster Abbey.
Prince Charles wed Diana in St. Paul’s Cathedral, while Prince Edward opted for St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Zara Phillips went further afield, opting for Canongate in Edinburgh.
St. George's Chapel is often used by royals for event, with the family turning out to celebrate Easter there this year.
Speculation has surrounded why the couple are in such a rush to head down the aisle, with Twitter alight after the engagement announcement that Meghan’s choice of her Line the Label white coat could be hiding extra news the couple might have to share soon.

No other details of the royal wedding have been revealed, although there’s plenty of speculation about who the former Suits star will get to dress her for the big day.
Names in the running include Erdem, Elie Saab, Carolina Herrera, and Harry’s friend Victoria Beckham.
Although royals are expected to choose a British designer, it’s possible that Meghan could honour her American or Canadian ties with one of those designers instead.
The couple’s title will not be revealed until their wedding day, although royal experts believe that they’ll known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
