When you have Bella Hadid, Kate Moss and Suki Waterhouse in your phone book, you wonder how life could get any better. But for Jordan Barrett, Australia’s top male model export, this is just a average day in his fabulous life.
At 21, the Gold-Coast born blonde is already at the top of his game, modelling for the biggest names in the industry, including Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger and Balmain.
And now, Jordan has set his sights locally.
On Wednesday night he took to the runway for the David Jones runway show, acting as an ambassador for the 2018 Autumn/Winter collections.

After stints in New York, Milan, Paris and London, you may think that Sydney is just a blip on this superstar's radar, however speaking exclusively to Be, he revealed it’s in fact quite the opposite.
“I always have fun at David Jones because I’m with all my friends,” he tells Be. “I get to catch up with everyone”.
Walking on home turf comes once in a blue moon for Jordan, who usually spends a large quantity of his time documenting his lavish, jet-setting lifestyle on social media.
His Instagram is a who’s who of celebrities, models and fashion elite, regularly featuring the likes of Gigi Hadid, Barbara Palvin, Stella Maxwell, Hailey Baldwin, Tahnee Atkinson, Kendall Jenner, Cheyenne Tozzi, Candice Swanepoel, Kaia Gerber - plus basically everyone else gives you serious life envy.
When we quizzed Jordan on his extravagant social media presence, he maintained one mantra: “I definitely do work hard, and I definitely do play hard."
“I work basically every day," he tells us, “Whether it’s the travel or not, I’m still going from work to work to work to work.”
As for what the public sees, he does think there can be a massive misconception about his priorities. For some, his massively successful career in an industry that favours ‘aesthetics', can be misconstrued for an obsession with the finer things in life.
“I think everyone sees these nice trips, but that will be me shooting on location," he says. "I’ll then take another day off before I get on the plane, and get to have all the fun on that one day, then I get on the plane and go to the next job, so yeah, it’s work hard, play hard.”
And with friends all around the world, “I’ve figured it out so [when I travel] I don’t feel so lonely.”
One look at his incredibly packed schedule might be enough to think that Jordan struggles to find any time to himself, however he definitely finds some places easier to relax than others.
“I chill out on the planes, whenever I fly in between,” he says. "I can usually relax when I’m flying.”
For someone that travels so often, it might be hard to feel at home anywhere in the world, but Jordan 'definitely' considers New York home, 'for now'.
“All my things are in New York. It’s where I live 'technically' - one day a month," he says.
“I live out of about ten different suitcases that I leave around the world. And I always take one with me with the stuff I need to return to people.”
