Ivanka Trump’s awkward tweet for Melania's birthday

If you think there’s one day Melania Trump might be able to relax and feel utterly loved and pampered, it’s her birthday.

Instead the FLOTUS’ day has been one awkward event after another.

While most husbands shower their wives with carefully chosen presents, President Trump instead casually revealed he didn’t give too much thought to Melania’s 48th birthday yesterday.

“I didn’t get her so much,” Trump – who has been plagued by reports of affairs with other women – admitted during an interview with Fox & Friends.

“You know I’m very busy to be running out looking for presents, OK?

“But I got her a beautiful card, beautiful flowers.”

Trump’s daughter Ivanka then accidentally made the situation worse, by posted a flowery, gushing tweet that only highlighted the President’s indifference to her birthday.

“Happy birthday to @FLOTUS, an incredible wife, mother and First Lady!” Ivanka wrote.

Only serving to emphasise Trump’s relaxed attitude to his wife’s birthday, Ivanka didn’t stop there, sending her step-mother a cutesy Instagram story as well.

Donald Trump Jnr also showed up his dad, issuing a birthday tweet to Melania, with even the White House following suit.

Some have drawn a comparison of POTUS’ lack of enthusiasm over his wife’s birthday to his predecessor, Barack Obama, who famously issued adorable public shout outs to his wife Michelle on her special day.
