Jackson Heywood 'on good terms' with ex Zelda Williams

Last week was a huge one for Home & Away’s Jackson Heywood, with his Summer Bay character getting married in one of the biggest plot lines for the Channel Seven show in 2018.

And to top it off, the 29-year-old enjoyed plenty of applause and attention as he walked the red carpet at the TV Week Logie Awards on Sunday night.

But what many may forget about the talented young actor is that that he has an established profile in Hollywood, thanks to his roles in successful US productions such as Teen Wolf, as well as his previous high-profile relationship with late Hollywood actor Robin Williams’ daughter, Zelda.

In fact, Jackson still reflects on his time abroad, and also keeps in his touch with his ex.

“We’re still on good terms and she’s a lovely, lovely person and I still respect the family very much,” he told Be at TV’s big night held at The Star on the Gold Coast.

The pair began dating in 2013, and Jackson was a strong pillar of support for Zelda in 2014 when her movie star father Robin tragically passed away.

“I did promise the family I’d never ever speak about it publicly,” Jackson told Be on Sunday night.

Last year Jackson confirmed he was single, and that still seems to be the case now, as he revealed it’s hard to find a girl when “I’m working all the time”.

Speaking of work, his role as Brody on Home & Away has cemented him as a fan favourite, and last week his character got married to Sophie Dillman’s character, Ziggy.

“It was incredible,” he said of filming the on-screen nuptials.

“I think it’s such an emotional show. So first of all to get the job is an honour but to then get awarded with having a wedding as well on the show is amazing.”

Also taking the opportunity to compliment his stunning co-star, Jackson added, “It’s really cool, to have Sophie as my onscreen partner, that’s something else”.
