VIDEO EXCLUSIVE: J-Law talks new horror film role

It's the movie she's been heavily promoting on and off the red carpet, and in an exclusive featurette, Jennifer Lawrence explains what she loves so much about new film Mother!.

The 26-year-old actress, who stars in Darren Aronofsky's latest psychological horror-thriller, says there are many "layers of the film" that are "so interesting and unique".

"There were just these explosive ideas," she explains. Watch the video above.

"The film kept getting more and more intense. It was such an incredible journey to take a character through."

The trailer for the film recently dropped, and it's safe to say the movie is not for the faint-hearted.

The trailer opens with Jen making plans to create a "paradise" with her onscreen lover, played by Javier Hardem, but it's not long before bliss turns to chaos.

She asks her man why he's so alright to let a complete stranger into their house when an older man (Ed Harris) turns up at the door, and when another woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) is also welcomed, things get messy - think blood, screams and desperate panting.

Mother! also stars Domhnall Gleeson, and Kristen Wiig, and the flick has been most recently promoted by the cast at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
