Jesinta Campbell has been dumped as ambassador of Cadbury Dark Milk over criticism the contract clashed with her promotion of a sugar-free diet.
She had signed up to promote the chocolate giant’s new flavour earlier this year in a rumoured $200,000 deal.
At the time the decision raised a number of eyebrows due to Jesinta’s open support of living a sugar-free, clean-eating diet.
Jesinta defended her decision to team up with the brand telling TODAY that while she eats “really clean: during the week, she’s lets herself eat “a bit of Dairy Milk” on a Friday night.
“I’m officially a chocoholic,” she told The Daily Telegraph at the time.
Last year the model released a cookbook, Live A Beautiful Life, which contained more than 50 gluten and refined sugar free recipes.
The model has openly revealed how she has “banned soft drink”” in her house because she doesn’t like to “put that amount of sugar” in her body.
Fairfax media reports that even though Jesinta’s ambassador role has come to an end, her image will still be used to promote the chocolate.
