Jessica Gomes admits she's a massive Meghan Markle fan

As the ambassador for retail giant David Jones, Jessica Gomes is considered to be one of the most stylish women in Australia.

But the model has her own style icons, and one of them is the most-talked-about woman in the world at the moment, Meghan Markle.

Speaking to Be ahead of David Jones’ 180th anniversary, the 33-year-old says that after watching the royal wedding, she’s looking forward to trying some of the royal’s looks herself.

“I think Meghan has a lot of class and I’ve always loved her style as well, it’s very polished,” She tells Be.

Jessica said she has been awe more than once from Meghan’s style from the days of red carpets to her most iconic moment of walking down the aisle in her Givenchy wedding dress as she married Prince Harry.

“I’m a huge fan of suits and all of the red-carpet moments I’ve seen her in she’s always dressed super understated and classic and clean and [at her wedding] I thought, wow she looks so beautiful and I love that she went with that designer.”

Jess also shares Meghan’s passion for charity work and believes Meghan’s humanitarian side will make her a great fit for the royal family:

“I think that every girl’s a princess but [Meghan’s] that type of woman that and really fits the role, I always followed her charity work so I think she’s always wanted that.”

Since working as an ambassador for David Jones, Jess has tried to create her own timeless style following not only Meghan Markle, but also former ambassadors Meghan Gale and Miranda Kerr.

“This was one of my biggest goals from a very young age, you know seeing Megan Gale work for David Jones, I was always looking up to that so it is a dream come true,” she says.

“I’m just thrilled that I can be apart of these amazing milestones with David Jones and celebrate with such a huge iconic Australian brand.”
