Bieber, who turns 20 this Saturday, has reportedly rejected a plea deal made by the Miami PD for his DUI/resisting arrest charges, which would have most likely involved a probation period and random drug testing.
According to TMZ.com, the strings-attached offer in question was for a no contest plea on the reckless driving charge. According to their sources connected The Biebs' camp, they won't accept any deals attached to a probation period.
Law enforcement has told the website that they won't deal if the singer won't submit to random drug testing, creating a stalemate of sorts which is most likely to result in a trial.
The trial could work in Bieber's favour, with apparent issues with the arresting officers, 'the fact that [one] may have lied when he said he smelled alcohol on Justin's breath (he blew a .014). And another cop claimed Justin was drag racing (at 43KMPH).'
It would appear that The Biebs' high profile lawyer, Roy Black, is ready to go to court over the case, as are prosecutors.
Worst case scenario, if Bieber loses, he's looking at two-and-a-half years in jail if all three charges (DUI, resisting arrest and driving on an expired license) stick.
