Karl Stefanovic: I've been broken in the last two years

There’s no denying Australians love to know about Karl Stefanovic.

But it seems the interest in the Today presenter’s private life has taken a toll on him in the last couple of years.

So much so, the host admitted he has “100%” considered quitting his role on the Channel Nine breakfast show.

“I’ve been broken in the last two years, but you still have to come to work and do a breakfast show,” he explained in an interview with TV Tonight.

“There are a lot more people in in this world going through hardship than Karl Stefanovic.”

However, the 43-year-old also added he didn’t understand the fuss over his private life, likening himself to being “the world’s most boring f***ing man”.

“I have my ugg boots on, my track suit pants, my AC/DC shirt and I’m watching Stan in front of the fire. That’s as exciting as I get,” he told the outlet.

Nearly two years ago in September 2016, after 21 years of marriage and raising three children together – Jackson, 18, Ava, 12, and River, 10 – Karl announced he was separating from wife Cassandra Thorburn.

The pair eventually divorced a year later.

Karl went official with shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough at the end of 2016, and he is now engaged to the 34-year-old.

Fans are waiting to see if the Channel Nine star will be joined by his lady love at the 2018 Logie Awards being held on the Gold Coast this weekend.

Well, only time will tell.
